According to our source and Twitter
Tweets, Davido was invited for the
recently concluded Nokia Rap
Battle show alongside other
prominent acts by one Nosa, a fast
rising music producer cum manager. The show ended and
according to the source, Davido
who was said to be drunk to stupor
insisted on leaving in a friend’s car
instead of going in the one the
ones that brought him, and other top artistes and crew from the hotel. He insisted though and Nosa being
his host had to drive behind them,
bubble later burst when the car
conveying Davido was stopped by
some military men for the routine
check especially at that time of the night. Our source revealed that the
obviously tipsy Davido jumped out
of the car and started boasting
"don't you know me, what the fuck
is wrong with you guys..." He
started shouting about who he is and what guts the Mopol men had
to stop his friend`s car. This act, infuriated one of the
Mopol and while the musician was
still ranting and boasting, he was
landed a dirty slap and was
threatened with gun to shut up if he
does not want to be bathed in his blood. The musician we were further told
was immediately rushed back into
the car by Nosa and his friend who
had at that point got down from
their bus and pleaded with the
uniformed men that he’s actually a popular musician especially in
Lagos and was coming from a
show.
A Man was on high speed, he got to
an Army checkpoint without slowing
down, so they told him to park his
car and ordered him to carry 1000
blocks from one Side of the road to
the other side. After carrying 900 blocks, he
noticed that their 'Oga' was his
Primary School classmate, so he
went to complain to him, The Oga
was really angry with what his Boys
told his Long time classmate was asked to do, So he asked him
''have you started carrying the
blocks?, the man said ''I have
carried 900 already, so the oga
said" Please don't be angry,
''RETURN THEM''.

Quran By: soliu yusuf (1) Intimate: It dares you to disprove it. How? It
says that humans can not write a
book like this even if they pooled all
their resources together and got

said this fourteen hundreds years ago and yet no one has been able

added to it; nothing was changed in it; and nothing was taken away from
it ever since it was completely
revealed 1400 years ago. (3) Unsurpassable: The Quran is God's final
revelation to humankind. God
revealed the Torah to Moses, the
Psalms to David, the Gospel to
Jesus, and finally the Quran to
Muhammad SALLI ALLAHI ALAIHI WA SALLAM . Peace be upon all
of them. No other book will come
from God to surpass his final

time and scrutiny. No one can
dispute the truth of this book. It
speaks about past history and turns
out right. It speaks about the future
in prophecies and it turns out right. It mentions details of physical
phenomena which were not known to
people at the time; yet later scientific
discoveries confirm that the Quran
was right all along. Every other book
needs to be revised to accord with modern knowledge. The Quran
alone is never contradicted by a

source of all life- the One God. The Quran tells us who God is, by

God, and the way in which to

these not seven sufficient
reasons for reading the Quran
Many of us associate prayer with
stillness and quiet reflection in a
place removed from the distraction
and noise of everyday life. As a
personal communication with or
petition to the divine, prayer is understood primarily as involving
the soul. However, in most spiritual
traditions, prayer is believed to be at
its most powerful when it combines
reiterated physical action and
speech. Preparation for prayer often includes
some form of ablution. Shinto
worshippers wash their hands and
rinse their mouths before ringing a
bell or clapping to attract the gods'
attention. Participants in North American traditions are brushed with
burnt sweet-grass in a purification
ceremony called "smudging".
The characteristic bodily attitudes of
prayer — bowing, kneeling,
prostration — are gestures of humble submission. On entering a
church or approaching the altar,
Roman Catholics genuflect, touching
one knee to the ground to
acknowledge the presence of the
Body and Blood of Christ. They also make the sign of the Cross as a
gesture of reverence. When visiting
a temple, Hindu worshippers
prostrate themselves in prayer
outside the inner sanctuary, which
only priests can enter. Most organized prayers take one of
five standard forms: supplication,
adoration, praise, contrition or
thanksgiving. While supplicating and
contrite prayers are usually offered
kneeling or bowing, gods may be praised or thanked standing with
arms outstretched. The latter
position invites the divine to enter
into the heart. Hand positions are
also important. In many cultures,
people simply pray with their hands together or clasped. During Hindu
and Buddhist rituals and dances,
participants use mudras, or hand
gestures, to convey hundreds of
different concepts or principles.
Offerings or sacrifices also play an important part in the prayer ritual,
and are methods of honouring or
appeasing the divine. In countries
where food shortages are common,
edible offerings can often be seen in
temples and shrines. In cultures where money competes with the
divine for worship, religions may
suggest that a person should
willingly give a percentage of his or
her income to the church, mosque,
synagogue or temple. Although private prayer is
recognized by every religion, public
prayer as part of a congregation is
thought by many traditions to be
more uplifting. Both Jewish and
Christian religious services combine song, readings and set prayers to
create a specific, sometimes fervent
atmosphere. Prayer is one of the
Five Pillars of the Islamic faith, and
on Friday afternoons congregational
prayers at the mosque are obligatory. During the rest of the
week, Muslims may perform the salat
— the ritual of movements and
words given in the Qur'an to be
carried out five times per day — on
their own. The first part of the prayer involves deliberately shutting out the
distractions of the world. The
splendour of Allah is acknowledged
by standing at attention, raising the
hands to shoulder level and
proclaiming Allah as the most high. Then, as the hands are crossed
over the heart, the prayer seeking
shelter from Satan is chanted.
Several prayers follow, alternating
with bows, after which, aligning
themselves toward the holy city of Mecca, the worshippers prostrate
themselves at full length, touching
the ground with hands, forehead,
nose, knees and toes. Worship ends
with a prayer for forgiveness, and
the last action is the salaam, in which the head is turned from left to right to
greet other worshippers and the
watching angels.
The quran openly states that such a
rigid programme of prayer is meant,
in part, to encourage believers to obey Allah unconditionally. Indeed,
the word islam means the active
recognition of, and submission to,
the will of Allah. The physical actions
of the salat help to channel
worshippers' thoughts toward humility and thanksgiving, and to
unite fellow believers. by yusuf soliu

ﻲﻧﺎﺒﻟﻷﺍ ﻪﺤﺤﺻ This Hadeeth shows the gravity of
lying in jokes, which has today
become a very common behavior.
People appreciate and encourage
false jokes claiming that it brings joy
and amusement – But in the above Hadeeth, the Prophet (sallallahu
alaihi wa-sallam) forbade lying even
if the intention of the person is to
amuse people, because one who
habitually lies for sake of
amusement, loses the fear of lying and he is very likely to later fall into
harmful lies. So, the Prophet
(sallallahu alaihi wa-sallam) blocked
this path from the beginning because
of the bad it may lead to. Islam does not prohibit joking. It is
known through many narrations that
Allah’s Messenger (sallallahu alaihi
wa-sallam) approved joking, and he
(sallallahu alaihi wa-sallam) would
himself play and joke with his companions and small children.
Simak ibn Harb asked Jabir ibn
Samurah (radhi allahu anhu), “Did
you sit in the company of the
Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihi
wa-sallam)?” He said: ‘Yes, very often. He (the Prophet) used to sit at
the place where he observed the
morning or dawn prayer till the sun
rose or when it had risen; he would
stand, and they (his Companions)
would talk about matters (pertaining to the days) of ignorance, and they
would laugh (on these matters) while
(the Prophet) only smiled.’ [Saheeh

with some necessary guidelines, (a) Joking should not involve lying,
Abu Hurayrah (radhi allahu anhu)
said that the Prophet (sallallahu
alaihi wa-sallam) was told, “O
Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa-sallam),
you are joking with us.” He (sallallahu alaihi wa-sallam) said: ”I

lies is forbidden, because silence in
Islam indicates consent. Allah’s
Messenger (sallallahu alaihi wa-

or at least speak out against it, if it occurs in one’s presence. If one
cannot gather the courage to speak
against the one who lies, then he
should leave such people who
engage in lies to pass their time. (b) Joking should not involve bad
language or abusing people. Allah
says in the Qur’aan: {O you who

ﻲﻧﺎﺒﻟﻷﺍ Allah’s Messenger (sallallahu alaihi
wa-sallam) has strictly forbade lying
at all times, but he (sallallahu alaihi
wa-sallam) specifically cursed the
person who lies to make people
laugh, he (sallallahu alaihi wa- sallam) said: “Woe be on one who
speaks and lies in order to make
people laugh, woe be on him.” [Abu
Dawood vol: 3, no. 4972,
authenticated by Al-Albani] «ﺏﺬﻜﻴﻓ ﺙﺪﺤﻳ ﻱﺬﻠﻟ ﻞﻳﻭ ، ﻪﻟ ﻞﻳﻭ ، ﻡﻮﻘﻟﺍ ﻪﺑ ﻚﺤﻀﻴﻟ

ﻲﻧﺎﺒﻟﻷﺍ ﻪﺤﺤﺻ This Hadeeth shows the gravity of
lying in jokes, which has today
become a very common behavior.
People appreciate and encourage
false jokes claiming that it brings joy
and amusement – But in the above Hadeeth, the Prophet (sallallahu
alaihi wa-sallam) forbade lying even
if the intention of the person is to
amuse people, because one who
habitually lies for sake of
amusement, loses the fear of lying and he is very likely to later fall into
harmful lies. So, the Prophet
(sallallahu alaihi wa-sallam) blocked
this path from the beginning because
of the bad it may lead to. Islam does not prohibit joking. It is
known through many narrations that
Allah’s Messenger (sallallahu alaihi
wa-sallam) approved joking, and he
(sallallahu alaihi wa-sallam) would
himself play and joke with his companions and small children.
Simak ibn Harb asked Jabir ibn
Samurah (radhi allahu anhu), “Did
you sit in the company of the
Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihi
wa-sallam)?” He said: ‘Yes, very often. He (the Prophet) used to sit at
the place where he observed the
morning or dawn prayer till the sun
rose or when it had risen; he would
stand, and they (his Companions)
would talk about matters (pertaining to the days) of ignorance, and they
would laugh (on these matters) while
(the Prophet) only smiled.’ [Saheeh
Muslim (1413)] «ﺖﻨﻛﺃ :ﺓﺮﻤﺳ ﻦﺑ ﺮﺑﺎﺠﻟ ﺖﻠﻗ ﻰﻠﺻ ﻪﻠﻟﺍ ﻝﻮﺳﺭ ﺲﻟﺎﺠﺗ

with some necessary guidelines, (a) Joking should not involve lying,
Abu Hurayrah (radhi allahu anhu)
said that the Prophet (sallallahu
alaihi wa-sallam) was told, “O
Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa-sallam),
you are joking with us.” He (sallallahu alaihi wa-sallam) said: ”I
only say what is true.” [Tirmidhi,
Hasan Sahih (Good Authentic)] «ﻚﻧﺇ ! ﻪﻠﻟﺍ ﻝﻮﺳﺭ ﺎﻳ ﻻ ﻲﻧﺇ ﻝﺎﻗ ! ؟ ﺎﻨﺒﻋﺍﺪﺗ

ﺢﻴﺤﺻ ﻦﺴﺣ ،ﻱﺬﻣﺮﺘﻟﺍ Also, listening to jokes that involve
lies is forbidden, because silence in
Islam indicates consent. Allah’s
Messenger (sallallahu alaihi wa-
sallam) has ordered us to stop evil
or at least speak out against it, if it occurs in one’s presence. If one
cannot gather the courage to speak
against the one who lies, then he
should leave such people who
engage in lies to pass their time. (b) Joking should not involve bad
language or abusing people. Allah
says in the Qur’aan: {O you who
believe! Let not a group scoff at
another group, it may be that the
latter are better than the former;} [Al- Hujurat 49:11] {ﺎَﻟ ﺍﻮُﻨَﻣﺁ َﻦﻳِﺬَّﻟﺍ ﺎَﻬُّﻳَﺃ ﺎَﻳ ﻥَﺃ ٰﻰَﺴَﻋ ٍﻡْﻮَﻗ ﻦِّﻣ ٌﻡْﻮَﻗ ْﺮَﺨْﺴَﻳ

If you have food in the refrigerator,

richer than 75% of this world.
If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a

Blessed than the million who will not

If you can pray in a Mosque without
fear of harassment, arrest, torture,
or death ... you are more blessed than
three billion people in the world.
If your parents are still alive and still
married ... you are very rare.
If you hold up your head with a smile
